Android mobile phone handsets being purchased has risen to 60,000 per day due to the wide-spread distribution of the operating system through many mobile manufacturers.

Handset sale figures were disclosed in a speech by Google’s Chief Executive Officer, Eric Schmidt, who went on to say the company’s goal is to “make mobile the answer to pretty much everything”.

Eric Tseng at Google exampled in the trade expo Flash running on their Android operating system which denounced Apple’s iPad efforts that do not support Flash. Tseng clearly noted that Google are working with Flash 10.1 to make the two perfectly compatible.
