4 REASONS TO BUY AN IPHONE 4

1) The App Store

With all of the new features announced on the new iPhone, it is easy to forget why the iPhone range has been as successful as it is. Whatever fancy technology lies behind the new iPhone, your day-to-day best reason for getting the new iPhone remains that the App Store has an unparalleled range and quality of apps. From the business friendly to the procrastinators’ friend, the choice of apps means that every day you could find a new use for your phone. With iAds now being rolled out, expect the App Store to carry on going from strength to strength and for it to continue to constantly revolutionise what you can do with your iPhone.

2)It Looks Stunning

Even though I am sure that the iPhone 4 will become as ubiquitous as previous versions have, I still believe that it will take a while before you don’t get that little thrill when you take it out of your pocket. The saying goes that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but while the old iPhone design certainly wasn’t broken, if you look at the 3GS alongside a new iPhone 4, there is no doubting which looks better. The squared-off design and glass and metal body make it a pleasure both to hold and to look at. Apple have created a sleek and sexy little beast in the new iPhone 4.

3)It finally has a good camera

It’s not just a good camera though, its a pretty damn great camera with HD video recording. While the camera on previous iPhones felt a bit like a superfluous add on, just there because smartphones these days have GOT to have a camera, the iPhone 4′s camera is right up there with the best cameraphones. It may not have as many Megapixels to boast of as some other recent releases, but as Steve Jobs explained, pixels aren’t everything, and the camera software on the iPhone 4 seems to wring every last bit of quality out of every shot. With HD video recording and editing built in now as well, it is safe to say if you buy yourself an iPhone 4 it won’t be long before you’re sticking your digital camera up on ebay.

4)Video Calling

Yes I know, there’s a strong chance that ‘Facetime’ will be one of the few, swiftly forgotten failures of Apple’s mobile innovations, but why not get in on the bandwagon early in case it takes off? Whatever hangups people have had before about video calling that has seen it fail to take off time and again, Apple seem to have done everything to give it the chance to work for them. I particularly like the apparent ease which which you can switch between the front-facing and backward-facing cameras, which I think gives it an advantage over webcam video calling. And of course the bottom line is that its a totally free call, so why not give it a go?
