The Fingerist is an iPhone dock that allows you turn your iPhone into a guitar at the cost of £170. It’s a niche product and only 50 were made so unsurprisingly one of those lucky few who get his hands on one wants to show it off.

YouTube user, koyamatsuo, has used the Fingerist in conjunction with the PocketGuitar app to create an impressive iPhone guitar solo. The PocketGuitar app only costs 59p so if you want to do the same, without shelling out the Fingerist dock, you can and be just as cool as this guy!

The demonstration leads us to think that almost any instrument can be translated onto the iPhone (electronic drum pad, bass guitar, synth keyboard?)… I wonder if any musically gifted iPhone users will be brave enough to try the first iPhone band?
