HTC DESIRE AVAILABLE TO BUY FROM VODAFONE APRIL 8th

Vodafone has confirmed that the HTC Desire will go on sale from the April 8th 2010.

The long-awaited HTC ‘superphone’ is currently available to preorder via the Vodafone website, with anyone registering for the device expected to receive it by April 15th.

Consumers wanting to be first to get their hands on a free HTC Desire will need to sign up to a £30 per month, two-year contract, which will get them 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500 MB of mobile internet allowance.

Alternatively, for £5 per month more, it will be possible to get the same deal but over the shorter duration of 18 months.

There is an extra incentive to buy the handset online, with anyone ordering either of the deals through the net benefiting from an additional 300 minutes.

Vodafone has now become the third major network to announce they will be selling the Desire.

The handset is already available from T-Mobile, while Orange has said it will launch the smartphone via selected stores across the country from Good Friday (April 2nd 2010).
