since it lacks North American 3G frequencies, it will not be sold there unless some user there wants(is fooled by) a hot modern smartphone without 3G!

So the N1 will sell around the world, while the Desire will sell everywhere but there. So, the N1 is here to stay most likely an agreement with Google. But the N1 can only use T-Mobile USA 3G.

Firstly, the nexus one is not the first GOOGLE own phone because the G1 was also made specificly for google and this has stopped being updated after only one year. hmm
secondly the desire may not get OTA updates bt it does not have to go through the networks to be agreed so it will be released much quicker.
and final the nexus one will be one of the biggest phone FAILS of the decade because htc has realesed the desire which is a much better, much more attractive version of the same phone.

Also the nexus one has one glaring advantage over the Desire which everyone seems to be forgetting about.
