EXCLUSIVE: iPHONE 4 RUNNING ANDROID OS
The release of the iPhone 4 has once again redrawn the battle lines between Apple and Android in the war to see who will ultimately come out on top in the battle of the smartphones.
Whether it is their opposed values – Apple favouring a simpler, but more closed off user experience against the open source, sometimes overwhelming Android OS.
But as you will find if you trawl pretty much any mobile phone forum at the moment you will quickly come accross heated debates over whether the HTC Desire is better than the iPhone 4, whether the Android marketplace will be overtaking the App Store any time soon, whether Androids triumph over Apples and plenty of name calling and mudslinging in between.
Well the ongoing conflict just got a bit more interesting, as Simbasics can reveal an exclusive photo showing what is presumably a jailbroken iPhone 4 (it seems jailbreaking times are getting quicker with every new Apple release) running the Android OS.
What may be most interesting about this photo, is that the iPhone 4 shown is running the Android OS with the HTC Sense UI, a platform that has been used with great success by the iPhone 4′s main rival, the HTC Desire.
If the process through which this iPhone has gone through to be able to run Android comes to light, then it could be great news for Apple and bad news for HTC, as an iPhone running Android could provide many people with many fewer reasons to stay away from the iPhone 4.
Whatever is behind it, it is a match made in heaven for us phone lovers.
Just like the perfect woman, an iPhone 4 running Android would be a perfect phone.
Great brains and great personality and all wrapped up in a stunningly beautiful body.
