The Apple iTablet hasn’t been officially released yet, but new reports are suggesting that a number of mobile broadband companies are eager to stock the much-anticipated device.
There are high expectations for the soon-to-be released iTablet that has already generated major buzz in the technology world, causing various mobile broadband providers to take notice. Some are even said to be planning to use the device to form part of a bundle with their mobile broadband packages.
Although Apple is reportedly in talks with various providers, reports have said that the company isn’t looking to offer the device on an exclusive basis to a single mobile broadband provider. Instead, the iTablet is expected to be available via numerous providers, just as the iPhone was.
Reports claim Orange, Vodafone, and O2 – the three mobile networks that currently stock the iPhone – have all expressed interest in the iTablet. One report says that the mobile broadband industry hasn’t experienced such competition and rivalry “since Apple pitted several networks against each other in the race for the exclusive British rights to sell the iPhone in 2007.”
Rumours say Apple will unveil its new creation on the 27th of this month, but there has been no official confirmation from the company. Also unconfirmed is speculation that the iTablet will be released in the United States in March and on its way to the UK shortly thereafter.
