MOTOROLA PRESENT THE BACKFLIP SMART PHONE

Motorola have announced the new Motorola Backflip which is an Android-based smart phone with a full QWERTY keyboard that folds backward (hence the name).

The mobile manufacturer announced today at CES that the Backflip, like the Nexus One, is a smart phone that runs on Android version 2.1 and features a full text-to-speech voice command service. The Motorola Backflip has a 3.1 inch high-res HVGA resolution, 5 megapixel camera (with autofocus and LED Flash) and possesses HSPDA internet, Wi-Fi and A-GPS.

For social networking the Motoblur syncs and streams all networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and LastFM, whilst allowing all updates to be sent straight to your home screen. In the event of a lost phone, Motoblur allows all information, stored on a cloud server, to be remotely removed to keep confidentiality and privacy.

The Motorola Backflip will be available anywhere in the world in the first quarter of 2010, though no pricing plans have been revealed yet.
