NOKIA SET TO RELEASE N8-00 SMARTPHONE?

As the smartphone market continues to gain momentum, Nokia seems to still be lagging behind the speedy and innovative changes of other companies like Apple.

The company had high expectations for the Nokia N900, but the mobile didn’t produce the results the company was hoping for.

Now, Nokia looks set to release its new development in smartphones the N8-00, rumored to come with a 12 MP camera and a multitouch screen complete with 720p video capture.

The handset will run on Symbian 3, and appears to be Nokia’s response to the new Apple iPhone. A summer release later this year is expected for the N8-00, but the company has not yet confirmed any details.

Additionally, speculation says Nokia will also release the C5 10, a QWERTY smartphone designed to compete with the popular BlackBerry, at some point this year.
