ORANGE ARE UK NUMBER 1 FOR MOBILE BROADBAND BUT…

Orange rank number 1 in UK for mobile broadbandNetwork provider, Orange, have been announced as UK’s number one for mobile broadband, and finished first in nine of fifteen categories which consisted of reliability, customer service, ease of use and uploads.

Orange, ranked top for the second time, when studying YouGov’s Dongle Tracker survey for January in the categories that also compiled of getting connected, staying connected, reliability during the day and reliability at night… But we prefer Vodafone in these areas.

UK’s Director of Broadband and Home at Orange, Asif Aziz, explained:
“Retaining our position as the top mobile broadband provider in the UK is a great accomplishment which we’re really proud of”.

“This win is recognition of our strong focus on network quality and brilliant customer service and its our aim to build on these, as well as the products and services we offer, to ensure our customers continue to benefit from a high quality user experience”.

However, Orange hasn’t ranked well here due to competitive comparisons and poor customer service. We don’t think they really deserve to rank number one – we experienced an undelivered item and several states of miscommunication through customer services – though when installed Orange can often produce good enough results for mobile broadband. Though we prefer Vodafone’s low cost broadband packages for 2010.
