Palm have announced that they will be adding new Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus handsets to their smart phone range as updates of their old models.

The Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus are updates that have been announced despite the Palm Pre only being out for a few months and the Pixi not having been released in the UK yet.

On the Palm Pre Plus the navigation button has been removed, the on-board memory has been doubled to a massive 16GB and there is now a conducter for the Touchstone wireless charger.

The Palm Pixi has been upgraded and now includes Wi-Fi that will be available to UK customers when it is released on January 25.

In the conference Palm has also announced 3D gaming for its WebOS platform in advance of EA gaming and Gameloft releasing mobile-based video games in the Palm app store.
