SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X10 TO GET MULTI-TOUCH AND ANDROID 2.1

SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X10 BLACKOne of the few drawbacks to the excellent Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is its slightly dated 1.6 version of Android and lack of support for multi-touch, but this could change according to Sony Ericsson.

At the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 press launch the Ericsson rep responded to the criticisms of the outdated OS by mentioning a “very big update” was due in Q2 of 2010. A very big update leads us to believe that the X10 will get Android 2.1.

Multi-touch is also anticipated as the limitations aren’t believed to be hardware based, and is believed to be something on the cards and an update is also expected for this drawback.
