Market research conducted in US by ComScore announced that touch-screen mobile phone use has grown by 159 percent between August 2008 and August 2009.

By the end of August 2009, 23.8 million were found to own touch-screen phones, but by the end of August 2008, only just over 9.2 million were using touch-screen phones. Of which, the iPhone led the pack and owned over 32% of the touch-screen market.
