This week has seen the launch of Voucher Cloud, a free iPhone application by Invitation Digital allowing mobile users to overcome the recession by offering discount vouchers for a variety of high street stores. This little app caters for everyone with its money-off codes for anything you can imagine, from AMF bowling to Crussh smoothies and even 50% off your food bill.
One of the best things about the application is its simplicity: users simply download the Voucher Cloud voucher to their handset and show it to the shop assistant when purchasing. Even better than that, though, is the fact that it will not be iPhone-exclusive and will be rolled out on other handsets in the coming months. Sharp-eyed readers will also have spotted they can now save a few extra pennies on printing paper, not to mention forgetting the hassle of misplacing those scraps of paper with the valuable digits.
So how does it work? Discount vouchers have been popular for some time, with consumers always loving a bargain and companies always trying to increase their customer base. Traditionally they would be offered in the company adverts or on voucher websites, but Voucher Cloud has taken it one step further by bringing the craze to our mobile handsets. The retailers themselves have control over the generosity of the offer as well as its lifespan and amount per person. The companies also get to track the popularity of their offers, thus providing them vital market research.
Managing director of Invitation Digital, Greg LeTocq, had this to say: “Vouchercloud brings paper discount vouchers right up-to-date. Our fully integrated application will transform the way consumers save money every day – the days of the printed voucher are short-lived.”
