WINDOW PHONE 7 SERIES FIRST HANDSET FROM LG

Microsoft's first official hardware prototype, Windows Phone 7 Series, will be manufactured by LG and released commercially later in 2010.

Windows Phone 7 Series was showcased in Barcelona's Mobile World Congress and on the LG handset incorporates both a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen.

The one from the pictures look very similar to a Motrola Droid and is slightly thicker than an Apple iPhone. It also features a 5 megapixel camera.

Little else is known about the handset from the pictured prototype but the LG handset will be out September at the earliest.
